Open House — April 27

Sunday, April 27, Minoa Fire Dept Open House

… 10:00 am -2:00 pm at 238 N. Main St., Minoa.
… Bring the whole family.
We are joining a statewide effort to recruit volunteer firefighters. We always welcome the chance to connect with our community, showcase the equipment and resources made possible through public support, and share what we do every day to help keep Minoa safe.
When most people think of a volunteer fire department, the image that comes to mind is the firefighter —courageous, trained, and ready to respond to fires and rescue those in danger. These frontline heroes are absolutely vital, and we are always seeking new recruits willing to serve in this demanding and rewarding role.
But firefighting is just one part of what we do. Our department depends on a wide range of volunteers to operate effectively. In addition to firefighters, we actively recruit emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and fire police, who assist with traffic control and scene safety during emergencies.
We also have essential roles for support members—people who may never be called to the scene of a fire but whose behind-the-scenes contributions make a big difference. Whether your strengths are in information technology, communications, logistics, public education, small engine repair, or administration, there’s a place for you on our team.
If you’ve ever wondered how you might serve your community, we hope you’ll stop by. We’d love to show you around and talk about the many ways you can get involved.
