On September 28, 2024, Believe 31 held a fundraiser at Minoa Fire Department Station 1. Believe 31 provides emotional and financial support for  firefighters and auxiliary members who are in need and are battling cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. The Minoa Fire Department enthusiastically supports the organization. Believe 31  covers Onondaga, Oswego, Cortland, and Madison counties.

Another important effort of Believe 31 is building awareness of the risk of cancer in the fire industry.

Congratulations to our own Aaron Reynolds, a Restricted Firefighter with the Minoa Fire Department, for his role in coordinating many aspects of a fundraiser. The event was an initiative of DECA of East Syracuse-Minoa High School.

Believe 31 members held out the “boot” to passers-by for contributions and conducted raffles inside the Fire Station. Food and drink rounded out the event.
