Interior Firefighters

Attend the Interior Firefighting Operations (IFO) course and receive Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) training. Interior Firefighters are trained to advance hose lines into burning structures for fire extinguishment and rescue trapped or downed occupants. Our volunteer firefighters are qualified to handle such assignments as structure fires, smoke in a building, gas leaks, carbon monoxide incidents, and non-structural fires such as vehicle or grass fires.

Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTS)

Once you attend and successfully pass the NYS EMT-Basic Original training course, you will be qualified to provide pre-hospital care to patients experiencing trauma, severe injury, or illness.

Apparatus Drivers & Operators

Once you attend and successfully pass the NYS EMT-Basic Original training course, you will be qualified to provide pre-hospital care to patients experiencing trauma, severe injury, or illness. operate pump panels to supply water pressure, determine if additional water supply lines are needed, and will assist in getting equipment ready for firefighters.

Administrative Members

These valuable members help with fundraising, non-tactical support during emergencies, fire prevention events, community outreach, our annual Minoa Field Days at Lewis Park, and many other tasks that assist the fire department.
